I created No Backsies as part of the One Take Super 8 at the WNDX Festival of Moving Image. You have about 3.5 minutes of super 8 film to shoot and it’s screened with no out-of-camera edits. As an editor, this was a freeing exercise for me. No Backsies is an angsty breakup montage featuring cucumber. I wanted it to be impressionistic and playful, but strike a cord with the intensity of breakup feelings. It screened at the8fest in Toronto and Gimli Film Festival in Manitoba.
